Paris Postcard: Bon Marché

This week’s Paris Postcard shows a woman selling Panama hats inside the famous department store, Le Bon Marché.

PS. On an Olympic note, Pierre de Coubertin commissioned this store to make the official Olympic flag after adopting the interlocking rings emblem in 1914. It was first used in 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. After the Games, the original flag could not be found and they had to make a new one that was used until the Seoul 1988 Games.

You can visit the Bon Marché website here (only in French).
